CSEA ENDORSES JONATHAN JACOBSON FOR NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY
The Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) has endorsed Newburgh City Councilman Jonathan Jacobson in his bid for New York State Assembly in the 104th district, CSEA Statewide President Danny Donohue announced today.
“Jonathan fought with us to keep Valley View Nursing Home owned and operated by Orange County saving hundreds of good paying jobs and now we want to fight for Jonathan to be elected to the Assembly so he can fight for all working men and women in the 104th District,”said Donohue.
“I am honored to have been endorsed by CSEA,” said Jacobson. “It is an acknowledgement of my lifelong dedication to improving the lives of working men and women both in the public and private sectors.”
Jacobson is a former Assistant Counsel to the Speaker of the New York State Assembly, Assistant New York State Attorney General, Workers’ Compensation Judge and was the Orange County Democratic Committee Chair for 22 years.
The 104th Assembly District seat was held by Frank Skartados until his untimely death in April. The district includes the Cities of Newburgh, Beacon and Poughkeepsie and the Towns of Newburgh, Marlborough and Lloyd. There will be a Democratic Primary on September 13th involving five candidates.
